Backpacking Ansel Adams Wilderness
Spent a couple days of July backpacking an incredible loop of alpine lakes and rocky peaks in the Ansel Adams Wilderness. We spent the night at Thousand Island Lake and were able to see Garnet and Shadow lake (as well as many others) on the way out. Always plan ahead in this part of the Sierras and grab a wilderness permit ( bear canister ) and plenty of mosquito spray…

Backpacking Desolation Wilderness
A weekend in and out to Aloha Lake in Desolation Wilderness. The ranger told us it was the hottest weekend ever recorded for the park, (#climatechange) which meant we were jumping in the lake whenever the packs weren’t strapped to our backs!

Norway: Powered By Nature
Fjord Yeah! If you want to experience one of the most amazing places in this world, head up to Norway in the summer. Endless daylight, magnificent waterfalls, ancient glaciers, it really is an outdoor lovers paradise at every turn. This video doesn’t even do it justice, as we were in awe so much that a lot of it didn’t even get recorded. Can’t wait to go back!

A Ramble Through Redwood National Park
Excellent weekend trip to Redwood National and State Parks during June of 2016. We were able to secure permits for the Tall Trees hike, attempted to find Hyperion in the thick jungle, wandered through the Lady Bird and Moormon Groves, and saw the popular Fern Canyon. There aren’t many places on the planet that make you feel so small and serene. Cheers to never letting a weekend go to waste!

Weird. Snow. – Phantom Falls and the Sierra Buttes
We explored the already dried out and snake covered cliffs of Phantom Falls And Table Mountain, followed by climbing the Sierra Buttes as high as the snow and storms would allow us. (I highly underestimated the snow-pack left…) A+ Weekend!
